Stick with the originals if you like them. Don't be swayed by someone elses opinion.
Wider bars will make you catch more wind and may be uncomfortable for you.
Wider bars may make slow speed steering a bit easier, but I doubt you'll be happy with the tradeoffs.
There's a reason Suzuki picked them!
